Heavy metal...and not the good kind.

I've been quiet for a little while because I have been going through a serious heavy metal detox and cleanse.  I hadn't been feeling 100% for some time so I went to go and see my doctor.  I had all of these seemingly unrelated issues and symptoms, but when I told my doctor about them she diagnosed me with heavy metal poisining.  We did some testing and I had pretty high levels of lead and mercury.  It was getting scary because some of the symptoms were like the early onset of Alzymers.  For example, if I was speaking to someone and the next logical word should have been dog...my brain just could not produce the word dog.  My hands were starting to tremble uncontrollably and I just wasn't myself.

Fortunately I have an extremely talented doctor (Dr. Dorine Karlin), who was able to REALLY help me throughout the process.  If you are interested in checking out her medical center, here is the link (http://www.wellbeingmc.com/).  I don't know if any of you have ever had to go through an intense cleanse but it was not fun.  It was like what I would imagine an exorsism feeling like.  Physically and emotionally I was pushed to my limits.  Detoxing your body can be extremely exhausting and challenging work but the experience has completely changed me and I am profoundly grateful to be well again.  Actually, I am the healthiest I believe I have ever been and it is well worth the effort and work that went into it.  I wouldn't hesitate to do it again if I needed to.  Dr. Karlin was such an amazing partner and I couldn't give her enough gratitude.  Whew...I'm glad that is behind me.
